Circus Scenes (collection) & Clown

Reynolds Beal

Reynolds Beal
1867-1951
Approximately 15-16 x 17.5-18.5

These date from 1927 to 1948, and have never been shown before. Each has an abundance of characters, big tents, flags, ferris wheel, steam engine, ladies of the nights, even the first with a Hippo we've ever seen. Some of the folks may be bit hungover from the grog being dispensed by the man in the center of one, dipping from a barrel. Color and detail are very good on this classic image of Beal's work.

We've sold a number of these over the years, all from a very well documented collection. These are reportedly the last available. Because of the alleged problem of fakes and post-humously colored in sketches by Beal, we will not handle his work in the future.
