Official Artist to the British Fleet WW1, spent much time with the US Navy His work is on exhibit in the Navy Historical Foundation. A similar print sold at Christies. A collection of 20 of his yachting engravings was offered recently for $12000. Titled, signed & dated #61/100 - print is laid down.

Resolute was the last of the six successful Americadefenders designed by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff. It was the smallest and the most discreet-looking of all the boats built for the 1914 America's Cup. In 1920, the selection trials for the defence of the America's Cup were re-sailed between Resolute and Vanitie. Resolute was selected after hard races against Vanitie.
