     Bogen was born in Jersey City. She got her BA from Syracuse University and she continued her art studies at the Art Students League and Pratt Graphic Arts Center. She also studied with Victor Perald, Benton Spruance, Harry Shokler, and Leo Manso. From 1979 to 1996, she taught Fine Artss at the Parsons School of Design.  She was a member of Artists’ Equity and American Federation of Arts.  
She had solo exhibitions at Charles Z. Mann Gallery and Vera Lazuk Gallery in the 1970s. Her work was also exhibited at the Sally Robbins Gallery, Robert Aaron Young Associates, Award Studios - New York, National Academy Galleries, and galleries in Palm Beach and Pennsylvania, and still is handled by several galleries in the New York area. Her work is in over 500 private and corporative collections nationally and internationally. 

One of her paintings was featured on the cover of the August 1970 La Revue Moderne. She was the subject of a feature review in Arts Magazine in 1971 and a feature in Newsday in 1971, as well as reviews in many area periodicals. She died recently.
